I tried to give this sculpture with a quiet and gentle eroticism. A young couple spoons together in the cool and starry darkness of the night and August. Everyone is looking at another part of the sky, hoping to catch that fleeting moment when a meteor ignited and shooting from the blackness. Every year I am very excited the few nights in August when the Perseid meteor shower is overhead. To have someone taking the time to share with makes the experience that much more meaningful.
