Letting Go

In August, here in the mountains of southwest Virginia, to purchase the trees to one dull sheen, which signals the end of summer. With the dog days of summer appeared, it is a sad, bittersweet season. Daytime temperatures may rise, the humidity, but sultry nights are cool. In the morning a mist rises from the mountains, reminiscent of a Japanese painting. And every day is shorter.

Stars on a late summer night is like diamonds in a velvet sky. This year also marks the 12th August on aFriday, and after midnight, maybe you can see a spectacular display of the Perseid meteor shower at its climax.

Slice open a bell pepper from the garden, and you're likely to tiny bright green peppers growing in the interior to be found. It is as if nature hastens to replicate itself, while it is still time.

How to save the squirrels that their winter quarters, food supply, so that we can clean up, clearing out busy providing our homes for colder weather. Or we spend longMoments weeding a flower bed, so that our thoughts drift to unknown locations. We wonder where the summer went - how it could happen by so quickly?
It's almost as if we were not aware of.

Nature gives us no other choice to let go of a season, and again with another. How do you enjoy the last rays of summer sun, I realize all over again, that the seasons are a metaphor for life. We also need to let go "before we can move ahead.

Letting go is an interesting concept. It is a techniquebe used not only on the skilful fly-fishing, but in life. We leave you afraid of the past, the possession, of a lost love. We leave you angry or a problem relationship. We let our children as they mature in their own lives, and when someone dies, we love, we will finally let go of grief. In Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon, there is an expression: "Let go and let God." And in the end we need from life.

More people in the 50's, 60's and older drugs are known asAntidepressants than you might think. I write a lot of middle-age depression, the feeling that so many seem to have, and have expressed to me that she is looking back on her life and ask: "Is that all there is?" This seems to ride in combination with, "But it was as much as I do!"

Start today. Rekindle some old, old dreams, perhaps. You always wanted to play the piano? Sign up for lessons. If you lost ten pounds, you'd think it would feel more in shape? Buycolorful track suit and take low-impact aerobics. Take a Weight Watchers group and the quantity of food "points." Log in tole painting class. Find a training class at the local high school or community college on the use of the Internet, or pottery, or learning to ceiling. Check with your public library and learn how to join a group of local writers who regularly advise in creative writing.

It does not matter what you do - just do something that you!Not doing anything is also an option. There's an old adage: "Do what you always done, and you get what
Perhaps you've always got. "The most important thing you're never too old to learn new things, or something interesting for you.

Older does not mean you stop living. If anything, with time on their hands through retirement, many seniors say they have really begun to live, at last, and with the "time of their lives." As an active, committedand interest in life keeps you young, no matter what your chronological age. Let your youth to celebrate and enjoy your next birthday as an important milestone in life. You've earned it!

For a timeless lesson in life that has survived for more than 3 centuries, supposedly in the Church Old St. Paul's found in Baltimore, and dated 1692, remember, "Desiderata" by an anonymous author. This should be read with the heart:

"Calmly amid the noise and haste and remember what peace there can bebe in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant, they too have their story.

"Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare with others, you can vain and bitter, for always there are greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.

"Keep interestedCareer, however humble, it is a real possession in the changing times. Exercise caution in your business affairs, because the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue is, many persons strive for high ideals and everywhere life is full of heroism.

"Be yourself. Above all, do not pretend to be liking it. Even cynical about love, the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is perennial as the grass.

"Please take the advice of theYears, with dignity, give the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to get you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. In addition to a healthy discipline, be with yourself.

"You are a child of the universe, no less developed than the trees and the stars, you have a right to be here. And if it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is as it should.

"Therefore be at peace withGod, what do you think about him be, and whatever your labors and aspirations in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.

"With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful." Strive to be happy. "
