Strong Meteor reflection of RAI Uno from the Monte Caccia stations in Italy (JN81). Recorded shortly after noon local time on the 12th August 2009 at the south coast of England. The audio tone is used, the same signal on a radio scanner to monitor recorded for others and weaker signals. Who needs darkness to see the Perseids!
Here are some pictures from 2008 Tauride meteor shower. Normally, the Taurids are not much, but this year look like the earth passed through a swarm of meteors. The meteors were left behind by Comet 2P/Encke. Although there was not an abundance of meteorites known as the meteor shower, there was an abundance of meteor fireballs. Fireballs are as thats a meteor brighter than -4 or brighter than Venus.

A stormy day in Lander, Wyoming pushed the clouds from the sky, the perfect stage for meteor showers visibility. Three employees of NOLS, National Outdoor Leadership School, spent the night in tents Red Canyon, Wyoming. Armed with three cameras, and enough coffee for the whole town of Lander, Kyle, Brian fuel, and William turned their lenses on the western and southern sky, the Perseid meteor shower on record. This video is a compilation of what was captured. NOLSCurrently, 367 students have in the wild worldwide locations. We are sure they all had amazing front row at this year's natural fireworks. Lessons Learned: 1 Meteor Shower Photography is a lot like fishing. You wait around for some time and try one of the lucky winners. 2. It could be more and more coffee. 3. It's nice to kill a spare camera to show "light writing" at the time.
